Champion’s Day 2022

After two years apart due to Covid restrictions, BT, EE and their partners were finally able to come together to celebrate and update on the year’s performance across the two divisions. The second in its series, this year's Champions Day event was able to be held in person and was based at the home of the England football team training grounds and FA education.

The event boasted talks from the likes of BT, EE and their headline sponsor Ivanti, as well as a whole host of breakout sessions on the topics of 5G, Cloud Voice and connectivity, to name a few.

BT welcomed Steve Holland MBE, Assistant Manager to Gareth Southgate for the England national team, to the event who gave an insight into what it means to collaborate in the sporting world and how this, along with dedication, is needed to bring teams together.

Guest speaker Camille Mendler, Chief Analyst at Omdia, also joined the event to share her wisdom from 25 years of multidisciplinary experience in the digital economy to talk through how she anticipates key shifts in B2B demand patterns in 2022 and beyond.

The main aim for this event was to provide key knowledge to the partners at both BT and EE, to celebrate both businesses and the teams that bring the partnerships together, and to recognise those that have achieved great successes across the last year.

The Partners also had the opportunity to engage with the three main-event sponsors on new products and information over some friendly (but competitive) digital sporting games, such as a giant football simulator and basketball shootout. This networking opportunity was the perfect balance between education, acknowledgement, and a chance to have fun with teams that have not been able to come together in over two years.

The key challenge for this event was to ensure that it was one to remember. As the first in-person event that BT had held in a while, our goal was to produce an engaging and visually impactful event where all attendees felt comfortable to network, share key information and feel rewarded for their hard work.

Our role for this event was full 360 event management, from logistics and time planning, asset creation, content management, staging, event space visuals and production. We worked with BT to create all aspects of the event and to ensure the guest journey was perfected from start to finish.

Following the event, BT and EE have received excellent feedback, both internally and across social channels. The day was very well received by all guests, including BT and EE teams, vendors, sponsors and key guest speakers. And, through this, Eleven Miles had some fantastic coverage. In turn, we have built brilliant relationships, having now been recommended for future events.

As we have a long-standing relationship with BT and EE, we are looking forward to working on future events with the team. We have already mapped out a hybrid event at the BT Tower and a few new webinars over the upcoming months. We are excited for the scope of work on the horizon with this fantastic company.
