We are delighted to see Barbour’s latest Christmas campaigns go live this week with the return of the most lovable and heart-warming story of a particularly memorable bear…

Eleven Miles have worked very closely with the team at Barbour for the past six years, creating concepts and film narratives behind their festive campaigns, which have seen collaborations with some of the most regarded British Animation Institutions; The Snowman, Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas, and most recently, Paddington Bear.

Building on the success of last year's campaign, Barbour are continuing the loving tale of Paddington, promoting the brands’ sustainable “Re-loved” programme which sees Barbour’s beloved jackets carefully repaired, given a new lease of life and re-homed ready for new adventures. The new, developed Christmas Film brings to life Paddington’s re-loved story, in a festive and fun-filled tale, brimming with British charm, new characters, and awash with good intentions, whilst highlighting the wonderfully unique nature of the scheme.

With the campaign film concepted, and scripted by Eleven Miles, the storyboard was then hand-painted by 2D animation studio, Againstallodds and produced by Passion Pictures, who brought original illustrator Peggy Fortnum’s signature style to life. Every frame of the animation was hand drawn and painted with more than 3,000 hours of work going into the design, animation and composition of the final film to ensure Paddington’s signature blue duffle coat and battered suitcase look perfect. Eleven Miles further supported Barbour with the campaign delivery, fulfilling global delivery specifications of the hero video, creating social and digital edits, teasers, and subtitles for distribution.

Join Paddington as he searches out the perfect, thoughtful gift for his misunderstood and sometimes grumpy neighbour, Mr Curry:

To accompany the campaign, Barbour is launching a limited-edition Barbour x Paddington Re-Loved jacket with a unique lining taken from an image in this year’s ad. Every jacket is up-cycled, and one of a kind. Both men’s and women’s classic wax jackets, the Bedale and Beadnell will be available with a special Paddington lining.

The campaign and video has received incredibly positive and festive praise, with viewers commenting on how well the tale captures the true Spirit of Christmas.
